Who We Are
We are Catholic.
At The Pines, we take our identity as a Catholic camp sincerely. At camp, our goal is to give youth the confidence and the strength they need to continue their faith journey and to help them foster healthy vocations. As a result of an experience at The Pines, our campers come home with a desire to live joyfully and to confidently build the Kingdom of God.
As Catholics, we believe that each life from conception is created with purpose and value by God. In response to this belief, we respect the rights and dignity of all of God’s people. We are excited to share the teachings of the Catholic Church with all who come and experience The Pines.
We’re 30 years old.
The Pines Catholic Camp was established in 1988 by Bonni Castellaw Brophy. The 446 campers that first summer came from thirty-seven parishes in four dioceses. Today, The Pines serves several thousand campers year round through a variety of programs.
The campsite is located in the town of Big Sandy, just two hours east of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.
