Day Camp Counselors

Be part of the exciting next chapter of The Pines’ mission and ministry!

As we launch our first season of Day Camp, we are looking for some amazing men and women to serve as Counselors in a new and growing program. You’ll be part of the pioneer group of Day Camp Counselors, helping us to build the vision of bringing The Pines to the city!

In the same spirit of Big Sandy Camp, we are on a mission to bring youth to encounter Jesus through faith, fun, and friendship — in a place where they feel safe, seen, and empowered.

If you have a passion for working with elementary-age campers and sharing your enthusiasm, joy, and love for your Catholic faith with others, this is the job for you!

Additional Staff Roles

  • JCs: Junior Counselors

Looking for a way to get involved and serve this summer? Junior Counselors at Day Camp are at least 18 years old and have completed high school. They commit to one week at a time, and they serve in a volunteer capacity.

From helping counselors run their cabin group discussion, facilitating activities, or helping with behind-the-scene logistics, JCs keep Day Camp running.

  • Media Team Interns

This crew can be found capturing, documenting, and creating content all day, every day! Media Team internships allow individuals to focus on growing skills and building a portfolio. College credit will be arranged for staff members looking for a fun and meaningful internship over the summer.

This team includes but is not limited to: photographers, videographers, photo and/or video editors, digital graphic and motion designers, broadcast media students, and social media creators.

  • Senior Staff

Our Senior Staff team is comprised of college-age young adults who serve as peer leadership for Day Camp. Led by the Day Camp Director, they are responsible for various programs and activities throughout the week.

They keep camp running by leading activities, catechetics, logistics, and so much more!
