Scholarships

Each year, through generous donations to our Camp Angel Scholarship Fund, we are able to help many families send their kids to camp!

Scholarship applications are due by January 31, 2020. You can check on the status of your application by emailing scholarships@thepines.org. Any applications received after the deadline will not be able to be reviewed.

Scholarship Requirements 

We make every effort to assist as many campers as possible with our limited funds. Priority will be given to campers who have not yet had the chance to experience The Pines. In order to help as many campers as possible, we do not offer full scholarships or scholarships for any campers registered for two weeks of camp. If we are not able to offer you enough assistance to attend The Pines, your deposit can be refunded to you.

All scholarship applications will not be considered complete until we have received all of the following documents:

  • The completed online application (can be found below)

  • A copy of your most recent tax return. Can be submitted three ways:

    • Email to scholarships@thepines.org

    • Fax to 214-522-2600

    • Mail to 14833 Midway Rd. Ste. 210 Addison, TX 75001

  • Each camper you’re applying for must be registered for camp with their $125 deposit paid

We ask that scholarship applicants be flexible with the week they attend camp. We will do our best to offer you a scholarship for the week you are registered for, but please be aware that this is not always possible. 

 
 
 

Frequently Asked Questions 

Q. How do I know my application is complete?
A.  Scholarship applications are only reviewed if they are complete. A complete application includes a $125 deposit (refundable if we aren't able to offer enough assistance for you to attend camp), your most recent tax return, and the online completed application.

Q. Can my deposit be refunded?
A. While the $125 deposit is typically a non-refundable deposit, we are able to refund in the case that you do not receive the assistance you require. Please inform us to let us know and we'll remove your camper from his/her session and refund your deposit.

Q. My camper has received scholarship money before. Is he/she still eligible this year?
A. Priority is given to first-time campers and scholarship applicants, but if you've received a scholarship in the past you can still apply.

Q. When will I hear back on the status of my application?
A.  All completed applications are reviewed by the scholarship committee after the submission deadline. We will inform you of their decision within a month of the deadline. Any incomplete applications will not be reviewed by the committee and are not eligible to receive scholarship funds.
