Staying in Touch

Photos, Videos, and Blogs

Each morning, we upload 300+ photos and a blog of the previous day’s events for you to view. In addition, we upload a handful of video updates throughout the week. All of these can be viewed from the Parent Portal by logging into your registration account.

Email

Campers are able to receive email from family and friends! Each morning at 10:00 AM, we print off all emails, and they are sorted and delivered to their cabins at Rest Hour after lunch. Campers are not able to send emails back, but are encouraged to send snail mail back. Packing pre-addressed and pre-stamped envelopes helps many campers!

To leave a message for your camper, simply send an email to camper@thepines.org with their cabin number in the subject line. If an email is sent after 10:00 AM, it will be printed out for the following day. *Mail is not delivered on Saturday or Sunday for two-week campers.

Snail Mail

Email is quick and convenient, but nothing beats seeing the handwritten nature of a snail-mail letter. When sending snail mail, please plan for enough time for that process to take its course (usually 2-3 days). Some families bring in packages and handwritten letters to be delivered on specific days. If you would like to do this, please write on the envelope the specific day you want the letter/package delivered, and we’ll take care of the rest.

Phone Calls

In the desire to have campers fully invest in camp, we do not offer the option for phone calls home. If there is an emergency at camp, we will make a phone call to the camper family. If there is an emergency at home and the family needs to reach the camper, we will accommodate there as well.

Packing List

Well-labeled, familiar clothes and items help campers return home with all their belongings. Sending a checklist with your camper will help them remember what to take back as they pack to return home. Closed-toe shoes are required for sports activities and challenge course activities.

Make sure to double-check!

Fun Times Ahead

Below is a sneak peek showing how much fun your camper will have while at The Pines. Every week we put together a Lip Dub where we bring together all campers for a few minutes to channel their inner pop star.
