Over the past 22 years, The Pines Catholic Camp has served thousands of youth in summer camp as well as year round retreats, and this spring we have the wonderful opportunity to construct a humble - yet beautiful - log cabin chapel. With the help of a group of teens on their mission trip from All Saints Catholic Church in Dallas, the chapel will be finished out with windows, a front porch, a crucifix and seating for 120 people.
It is not every day that we are faced with an occasion when we can create something so sacred, and we are asking for your help. Your financial gifts are just as important to this chapel as the hands that are building it. To build the chapel, The Pines needs $45,300. We ask you to think about the ways you can contribute to this project.
To invest $25,000, you and your family will have the naming rights. With a pledge of $5000, a permanent memorial plaque - name included - will hang at the entrance of the chapel. Those who invest $1,000 will have a name plaque attached to one of the pews.
All gifts are welcome, as it will take many peoples' generosity to make this goal a reality. We are creating a place of worship that will last a long time, and the blessings of this chapel will impact literally thousands of young people every year. What an amazing opportunity this is - we are not merely creating a building, but rather a place for youth to gather in the Lord's presence, celebrate Mass and glorify God. Helping build this chapel is truly something you would remember, and so many others will be thankful for your generous gift.
